This image captured by the Chandra X-Ray Observatory and the Canada-France-Hawaii Observatory shows Stephan’s Quintet, a group of galaxies located about 280 million light years from Earth, four of which are undergoing a massive galactic collision. NGC 7318b, the bright spiral galaxy near the center of the image, is passing through the core of galaxies at nearly 2 million miles per hour.
